News and Views

To keep you all posted on my latest and greatest, here's what I've been up to. I've started talking more and more. My new words of the week are ketchup (which I put on a hamburger but decided not to eat), puzzle, Here I am, and my new word for Mason
"Deedo."

Last weekend Nona and Papu came to see me and I was calling them by their names. Plus, I started to say Todd for Uncle Todd. One of my newest hits is Happy Birthday. The happy part is easy...as for the rest of the song, well, I can pretty much sing the tune!

I had a busy weekend at the beach and playing with Nona and Papu who got me a neat new CD which I like to dance to. By the way, I will have to have Dad upload a video of my latest moves where I raise the roof. Until next time!

Riding the Firetruck

Yup, that's me and Mommy in the firetruck in Maplewood. The fireman saw me watching the trucks and he asked me if I wanted to sit inside! At first I was scared but then Mom came in with me and I thought it was so cool. Mom even helped me honk the horn.

Long Time No Write

Since it's been a long time since i've been on my blog, i'll try to fill you in on what's been going on. After one and a half years of hearing my dad say "daddy" for everything, i finally gave into him and said "dada" one morning. i never saw him jump so high!

this talking thing is really catching on and everyone seems to get so excited. my favorite word is bubbles but i've also been saying up (one of the firsts), uh huh (for yes), uh oh, milk (YUMMY), bye bye, thank you, blue (for blueberries), dog, something that sounds like airplane and hi. i've recently been saying "hot" and blowing on my food (even cold food).

I seem to be cracking everyone up these days (myself included). I love going upside down and chasing Mason is still one of my favorite activities of the day. I've started to chase him with the kitchen chairs though one time it fell down (not so funny).

I'm still taking music class, which I love, and singing and dancing, even outside of class. Some of my greatest hits are Itsy Bitsy Spider, Open Shut Them (which Grandma taught me), Hooray for Brandon (a Nona favorite) and Where is Thumbkin. Stay tune for a posting of tour dates.

And for those of you thrown off by my newest game of Picky Eater, don't be fooled....I weighed in at the doctor at 28 lbs, 12 oz. last month. That's in the 75%! Oh, and I grew and inch and a half so I am now 33 inches.

Rock and Roll Hoocheekoo!

Happy Purim

Last week was Purim, so Mom and Dad took me to temple to hear the megillah reading. Dad said all of the kids dress up so he got me a really neat costume - doctor's scrubs (as you can see)! We went to Temple Beth El with the Siegel family. There was so much noise and so many costumes. My favorite was Elmo. I tried to pet him, but Elmo just stared at me. I got to eat pointy cookies which was a real treat - Mom said they're called hamantashen. Dad said those were nothing compared to Grandma's!

On Friday, Mom had a mini Purim party for some of my friends. Adam and Ethan Greenstein came along with Adison and Max. Adam and Ethan's mommy helped Mom bake hamantashen but they didn't come out too good. (We ate them anyway!)

On Saturday we went to cousins Boden and Shayna's birthday party, and on Sunday I went to the Purim carnival at Grandma and Grandpa's synagogue. I got to show Grandma and Grandpa how well I'm walking, well running actually. It was so much fun making everyone chase me around the temple.

In the Thick of Things

Well now that I am walking around I am getting my hands on everything. As you can see, I was having a blast playing with the dirt in the plants (even Mason came to take a look). Today I tried to play with the dirt again, but the plant disappeared!  So I started shaking the plant stand in the family room and now Mom and Dad moved that too! I guess I'll just have to keep crawling up the stairs to keep them on the move!

I've got all the moves!

Playing the piano and dancing are just a few of my talents!

I went to work today

Yesterday i had a very busy day. Mom took me to Grandma's office to see where she works.  There were lots of pictures of me in Grandma's office which was fun to see.

Then it was so strange...all of these women came out of their offices to play with me.  Grandma's coworker, Sharon, had Scooby Doo figurines.  I don't know who Scooby Doo is, but Mom and Dad said they used to watch the cartoon.

Then Mom and Dad went to a dinner for Great Aunt Susan, and I had a sleep over party with Grandma and Grandpa. Grandma tried to feed me meatballs but I didn't want them. So I threw them across the kitchen (hee hee!). I think they still love me though.

This morning I went to music class with mom and decided that it's time to start talking. So when Mom was putting on her shoes I stood by the door and said "bye bye" (at least that's what mom thinks and so did Adison's mommy, Lisa.) So the rest of the day Mom kept trying to get me to say "bye bye" again. I think I'll just keep her waiting a little longer...the grunting thing is much more fun!

Me swimming

lots of fun in the pool!

I think this is what they meant when they called me a drunkin sailor!

Big day today

first of all...thanks everyone for reading my blog.  hopefully you are able to keep up with all my new stuff.  Mommy and Daddy are always amazed at the new things I can do...for example...this morning daddy made me delicious oatmeal (can you believe I actually got to see him, he has been out of the house a lot this week.)

but anyway, I fed myself almost the whole bowl.  He was snapping pictures of me while I was doing it.  I didn't understand the hooplah but he was pretty excited.  He even called mommy to come take a look.

Then I was making music on my little keyboard.  Daddy now calls me "chairman of the boards".  He's clever like that!

Mommy is taking me out for lunch later with some friends...Yippie! I love to eat!

Extra extra read all about it

I went to the doctor today and I found out that I am now 27lbs and 2 ounces.  I grew 2 1/2 inches since my last visit.  I can no longer walk under the kitchen table without hitting my head.  yippie!

I have also been practicing the walking thing...I'm getting rather good at letting go of mommy and walking across the room!

My Weekend

today I went into NYC with my mommy and daddy and I hung out with my Uncle Todd, Aunt Cara and Eliza (what a babe.  I think she liked me...not sure since neither one of us talks yet...she's only 6 months old).  I know I'll be spending a lot of time with her growing up since my parents seem to have a great time when they get together.

Last night Nona and Papu came over and played with me while mommy and daddy went out to dinner and to a concert.  I showed Nona and Papu how well I am doing with my walking.  Mom and Dad keep calling me a "drunkin sailor".  They make it seem so easy walk...they've been doing it for 31 years and me...only 2 weeks...so cut me some slack!  I'm working on it.  Mason helps me when I fall by licking my ear!  it tickles!

oh yeah, and daddy took me swimming on sat morning...he takes me every week.  I had fun putting my face in the water trying to drink the pool.  I coughed and then I was ok.  I tried it again and the same thing happened...one of these days I'll learn that I have to close my mouth before I dunk my head.  Dadddy said something about the next class that we are going to take...he said something like, "more advanced, fills up fast, learn to hold his breath."  Sounds cool!  can't wait for that and all the other cool things they have in store for me.

Anyway, check back soon...going to go nite nite now.
